Abstract : This study aimed to investigate the relationship between Retention in Mathematics and School Environment of higher secondary students. The study was conducted in the Kanyakumari district of Tamilnadu state. A descriptive survey method was employed, and a sample of 580 higher secondary students was selected using a simple random sampling technique. Retention in Mathematics Test Constructed and Validated by C.B.Vijila and N.L.N.Jayanthi (2024) and School Environment Scale (SES) developed by Angel Mary Jane J S and Praveen Kumar S (2018). It was found that the Retention in Mathematics and School Environment is high of higher secondary students. It is also found that there is significant difference between male and female higher secondary students with respect to their Retention in Mathematics and School Environment, there is significant difference between rural and urban resident higher secondary students with respect to their Retention in Mathematics and School Environment. A significant and positive correlation was found between the Retention in Mathematics and School Environment of higher secondary students.
