Abstract : The purpose of the study was to determine the influence of Academic Achievement in relation to Social Media Addiction of XI Standard Students. This research used a normative survey method and the samples of 520 students studying in Nagapattinam District of Tamil Nadu State were taken with a stratified random sampling technique. The instruments used in collecting data are the Academic Achievement marks obtained students annual examination marks in school record and the Social Media Addiction Scale (SMAD) constructed and validated by S. Chinnapparaj and R. Sivakumar (2025). Results of the study indicated that the Academic Achievement is average and Social Media Addiction is low of XI Standard Students. It is also inferred that there is no significant difference in the Academic Achievement of XI Standard Students with respected to their gender and student residence, there is no significant difference in the Social Media Addiction of XI Standard Students with respected to their gender, there is significant difference in the Social Media Addiction of XI Standard Students with respected to their student residence and there is a significant and negative relationship between Academic Achievement and Social Media Addiction of XI Standard Students.
