Abstract : The study has been conducted to investigate the levels of Teaching Aptitude and Teaching Competency among D.El.Ed. Teacher Trainees. It also examines the relationship between the Teaching Aptitude and Teaching Competency among D.El.Ed. Teacher Trainees. The study was conducted on a random sample of 968 D.El.Ed. Teacher Trainees in Kozhikode District of Kerala. The tools used in the study were the Teaching Aptitude tool (2022) developed and validated by Dr. S. Kulasekara Perumal Pillai and M. Sabitha Sekher and Teaching Competency tool (2005) constructed and validated by Savans. The study reveals the fact that the level of Teaching Aptitude is at high level and Teaching competency is at average levels. Further, it is noted that there is negligible amount of correlation between Teaching Aptitude and Teaching Competency among D.El.Ed. Teacher Trainees.
